Art Deco Oak Rocking Egg Chair
What a rare find! Do you remember the advert “Start the day on an egg!” Well, we agree. We dubbed this great rocker The Egg Chair because of its ovum styling. What’s more it’s made of oak and it rocks beautifully with amazing comfort to boot! Most of all thought, it’s a piece of classic 1920’s sculpture that is both modest in scale but exudes that confidence of the era.
Fully restored and resplendent with a handmade horse hair stuffed squab cushion finished with the classic Art Deco colours – black, red and yellow in Harris Tweed. This is further set off by three vintage black leather buttons to complete the 1920’s look. It is a rare and lovely piece and a clear step above the scrambled omelette of everyday finds!
