Art Deco Rocking Armchair Egyptian Revival Style

 

I really adore these Deco rockers. So far I have been lucky to come across two others and on both occasions I used  Alhambra Art Deco style cloth as a top fabric. However, this time I decided to do something a little different and special. In my collection of Beautiful Things Which Can Not Be Thrown Away I had two Egyptian style leather and stone decorative emblems which once upon a time were part of a stunning Prada sandals. When the sandals got accidently damaged ( I was really upset!) I removed the emblems and kept them knowing that one day I will make a good use of them….and I did.  I attached them to both arms of this fully restored little rocking armchair:-) I love the combination of purple, red, and green. All very Art Deco in Egyptian Revival Style!
