Lovely William IV mahogany rocking chair with an unusually long back topped with carving making the chair especially elegant and slender.
Very comfortable with excellent lumbar support and a drop in seat. Yellow Harris Tweed compliments the deep colour of the wood beautifully.
The mahogany frame has wonderful patina with various old but skilfully undertaken repairs (see pictures). We decided not to conceal these as they add to the character of the piece.
Fully restored using traditional techniques and materials.
