• Lovely William IV mahogany rocking chair with an unusually long back topped with carving making the chair especially elegant and slender. Very comfortable with excellent lumbar support and a drop in seat. Yellow Harris Tweed compliments the deep colour of the wood beautifully. The mahogany frame has wonderful patina with various old but skilfully undertaken repairs (see pictures).  We decided not to conceal these as they add to the character of the piece. Fully restored using traditional techniques and materials.
  • Early 19th Century Mahogany Footstool
  • Antique Regency Period Childs Chair

This gem was in shocking condition when it found its way to our workshop. The entire frame was re-dowelled and repainted using Farrow and Ball paint to replicate the ebony.  The brass ornaments were cleaned and re-upholstered in yellow contrasting velvet. As you can see, one of the ornaments on the side panel does not much but does not detract from the beauty of this rare little piece.
  • A pair of beautifully proportioned and delicate mahogany chairs with all the hallmarks of Sheraton.  They have the classic geometric back with ornate carvings of rosettes, flowers and ribbons around a central lyre.  The front legs are tapered and Jappaned with arrow feet whilst the back ones are simple splayed mahogany. The corner blocks on the underside of the chair are screwed not jointed.  This suggests these are a high quality replicas of Sheraton produced during a revival period in the late 19th Century.  These are also highly desirable and collectible in their own right. The chair has been fully restored using traditional techniques and materials and covered in a vibrant pink damask which compliments the colours of the wood.
  • Unusual early 20th Century chair with strong Art Deco influence.  It has a surprise feature - a hidden internal sprung rocking mechanism enabling you to recline to the point of optimum pleasure. This small but extremely comfortable piece is covered in luxurious, almost shimmering Italian made gold velvet by Swaffer with purple piping.  Set on birch bun legs with new brass casters. The patent number stamped in the leg is a sign of a good quality piece of furniture. This piece has been fully rebuilt, re-polished and re-upholstered using traditional techniques and materials.
