Rare Art Deco Cuban Rocker Armchair Circa 1935 Fully Restored And Upholstered – SOLD

Rare Art Deco Cuban Rocker Armchair Circa 1935 Fully Restored And Upholstered in Swaffer Velvet

Fully restored, Art Deco Cuban plantation armchair/rocker in exotic red wood circa 1935.

This rare and a stylish piece mixes really solid construction with light, streamlined, aeronautical Deco lines, redolent of those wonderful airline posters of the era. Of generous proportions, it is wonderfully comfortable with two fully sprung cushions, upholstered in Deco inspired, black luxurious velvet with a scalloped motif ( see last photo).

We would be delighted if you wish to visit Salisbury to view any item before buying to enable you to appreciate the quality of our work. The only concession we make to traditional methods is use of a staple gun which is far kinder to old furniture frames than tacks. Delivery can be arranged at a price appropriate to distance. Your satisfaction is our aim. Returns can only be accepted within 14 days only if there is a fault with the restoration. Please remember our pieces are old and will have the honourable scars of time. This is part of their charm! Please see our other pieces for sale.
